Summer is upon us and that usually means more vacations, BBQ s and time with friends and family. It also means an increase of such activity being posted to all sorts of social media platforms.
As a career counselor, I see regularly how the use of social media can help or harm one’s career path. Over the past few months I have researched how social media has impacted the hiring decisions of recruiters and hiring managers. The results are very interesting and I will share the results in an upcoming featured presentation at the National Career Development association Conference. I will also share my findings in a future MKCD newsletter later this summer.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear from YOU!
Do you have a story or anecdote about how social media has impacted your career or the career of someone you know? If so, I’d love to hear it.
I am compiling short real-life examples to accompany my research and presentation. Don’t worry, any stories I receive will be stripped of all identifying info and the sender’s info will be kept confidential. You can email me at: Mary@MKCareerDesigns.com if you have an social media anecdote to share.
Thank you for being fabulous clients! I wish you the best this summer and I will talk to you soon!
